I'm a beginner. Which class is appropriate for me?
We have a few classes on our schedule that are appropriate for those who are new to yoga, including Beginners Yoga, Sweat & Flow (Level 1), Yin Yoga, Deep Stretch and Restorative Yoga. You can see the descriptions for these classes here.
Where are you located?
Our studio is located inside the Sherman Phoenix at 3536 W. Fond Du Lac Avenue, 3rd Floor.
How do I register for class?
Pre-registration is required for all classes. Students can register on-line or on the MINDBODY app. During the process of purchasing class passes and registering for a class, will be prompted to create an account. Here are the steps:
1. First, you will need to purchase a single class pass or package from our online store. Click the 'Online Store' tab in the upper right hand corner of the page. You will then select 'Studio Classes' from the drop down menu. Select the option you prefer and click 'Check Out'. You will then be prompted to create a secure account before completing the transaction.
Please note, purchasing a class pass or package does not automatically enroll you in a class. You will need to register for each class by signing yourself up for the class you want to attend. (Class passes and packages expire 1 year from the date of purchase. Class packages do not have you be used consecutively).
2. Once you have purchased a class pass or package, you will then click on our 'Classes' tab to see the class schedule and sign up. On the 'Classes' page you will be able to see classes for the current week. You can also select future dates using the calendar feature in the upper right hand corner of the page. When you see the class you want to sign up for, click the 'Sign Up Now' Button. You will have the option to 'Make a single reservation' or 'Make a recurring reservation'.
3. Once you make a selection, you will receive a confirmation indicating that you are officially registered for class.
Please note, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you are signed up for a class and find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you go in the system and cancel your reservation or notify us 24 hours prior. Failure to cancel your reservation will result in your account being charged for the class.

What should I bring to class?
Yourself! We will provide everything you need, including the yoga mat, at no additional cost. However, if you prefer to use your own yoga mat, feel free to bring it with you.
I'm Christian. Will yoga conflict with my religious beliefs?
The short answer is no. Here's a longer explanation: It is commonly understood that the practice of yoga originated in India thousands of years ago. While yoga is not a religious practice, it was designed to be a tool for people to learn more about themselves in efforts to become their best selves and to become whole. The practice of yoga asks us to dig deep, which can feel like a spiritual process (and be one if you want it to be). But yoga is not directly linked to any religion.
I'm not a person of color. Am I welcome at Embody Yoga?
Of course! We don't discriminate against anyone. That would go against our motto of 'Yoga for All'.
